Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
A Community Advisory Committee for the study, consisting of community residents and various stakeholders, has been formed. It is planned to have each township within the LHWA service district represented. The composition of the CAC includes, in addition to Emmett, Rodway, Freeman and Mumma:
John Hannan -- Barlow Township
John Smith -- Belpre Township
Robert Layfield -- Decatur Township
Ron Curry -- Dunham Township
Larry Miskimins -- Fairfield Township
Gregory Nicholson -- Palmer Township
Tom Neill-- Watertown Township
Molly Varner -- Wesley Township
Sidney Brackenridge -- Warren Local Schools
Kathleen Meckstroth -- Washington County Health Department
Steve Williams -- Ohio EPA
Sarah Wallace -- Ohio EPA
Mary Dominiak -- United State EPA
Dunham Township (Washington County), Troy Township (Athens County) and the West Virginia EPA have been invited to participate but have not as named representatives.
The CAC is involved in all stages of the study, seeking to ensure that the aims and design of the study meet community needs. The CAC will also advise on the appropriateness of questions asked in the questionnaire.The CAC meets quarterly at the Decatur Community Building, located at 6505 State Route 555. Meetings are open to the public.
